I know for a fact that the first one ( name EQUIFAX) does not work because I was recently chopped and it wiped all of my softs away as of 01/09/2012 and there is no way that I could have 70 softs lefted over. When I minus the "EQUIFAX" section it leaves me with around 30ish and that sound more within reason. I would post the entire report to make it more clearer, but when I copy and paste from EQ report it doesn't maintain that formatting. If you want I can email your counting results and also the actual EQ softs report.... Thanks for your assistance in advance.

 

Please see earlier in this thread. For some people "EQUIFAX" counts, apparently, and for others it doesn't. We're thinking of adding a "Count Equifax" checkbox, but are keeping it as simple as possible for now. If you know "EQUIFAX" doesn't count for you, just subtract it for now. Still trying to figure out why it counts for some and not others.

 

Ok, thanks. I did read the posts earlier and I think the addition button would be a great feature to add.

Since you're already on the chop list.. http://equifax.com/fcra - If you have EC, this isn't necessary.

 

Thanks! I am planning to cancel the EQ Complete this month so having a way to check my softs in the future is good clapping.gif

 

Is there a TU backdoor access too?

I find that it's not counting the softs from "Equifax". These have always counted as softs for me.

 

Still working with Bob on that one.. see this post for more details on that. I suppose I could make a "Count Equifax" checkbox. Still a little confused on when Equifax softs apply.

 

 

Thanks so much for doing this, that's awesome that you would do this.

 

FYI- Equifax softs have NEVER counted for me and I've been pulling for a year and a half now. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in for what it's worth. I don't have to pull EQ now, finished last week and working on TU now.

I did a manual count and was not sure but just entered into the software and got the same count so I am certain they are correct.

Thank you very much for getting this back up... I just have one request/question.... is there any way to get it to accept the EQ soft paste just "as is"? I have to copy and paste my softs into wordpad and do a lot of formatting before it will actually count properly. I did see your format instructions and I had to do a lot (well not a ton) of work to get it in that format. I am pasting from Equifax complete... if I paste it just as is... it says I have 115 softs. So, then I dump it into wordpad and I have to delete a bunch of returns between the lines, then move all the dates so they are in line with the company name and then I have to add tabs to each one.

I had the same problem with the other counter and it just wouldn't return anything at all (and I know some other people had this too) ... It can't be my internet explorer because it does the same thing in Firefox. I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit, IE9 and my firefox version is 9.0.1

 

Its a nit picky little thing but it would be so much nicer if I could just paste and go. :)

 

Also, mine is counting things like softs from AT&T and Digital Federal Credit Union... should those be counting?

The counting tool works in all browsers I have tried, but EC doesn't. In IE it renders a certain way that makes it copy like that. Pull EC in a different browser than IE and then copy and paste it.

HMMM, Mine worked perfectly last week but just tried it 3 different times and got all the (1)'s in all the empty sspaces in between the lines and was supposed to only have 13 good softs and it counted all the 1's and said I had 172 Good Softs.

 

And on the ones where it should have said 4 or 5 it also said (1).

 

so it didn't work for me so something must have changed from last week in the code because I did the same thing as I did last week.:dntknw:

 

Anyone have any advice to get it working again?

Thank you for such a cool tool. It has taken me months to finally see the light on this, your counter makes quick work of it. I'm at 44 as of today, and pulling three x a day... so I've got a chance to do some serious B* prior to C*
