A few years ago I added my then 8 year old daughter to my Citibank Drivers Edge Gold.

She used to have fun using her card at 7/11 or the bowling alley. Nobody would believe it was her card until they saw the scribbled signature and a few times she had to show her elementary school ID. LOL. All but one purchase was under $20 though. One time I asked a friend to take her shopping for a fancy dress for an occasion and my daughter used her own card to buy the $200 dress. She said they didn't even check the "signature".

Recently I've added my 9 year old son to my HSBC and Chase. He's a little less mature than my daughter was but still so proud when I'm getting gas and he can go in and buy us snacks using HIS card.

Bob:

Since our underwriting is done by CITICORP, you might want to mirror the CITI age for Macy's as well. We do not ask the child's age when a parent adds them as an AU, so we don't regularly interact about age.

I am obsessed with this forum and another forum, i manage my parents cc so i though i should have the proper knowledge to do so.

Because for some reason my credit reports indicate that i am 20 i was able to order my fico from equifax (it is the actual fico not plus score) and at my fico, they are eq 788 and tu is 794. I have since corrected the age on my reports and cant order any more. Also the above poster said that ge money requires you to be 18, i am an au on my parents platinum tj maxx mastercard(gecrb) and banana republic luxe visa they didint even ask my age.

I am 15 and i am an au on all my parents cards which is a lot, the only people that made me wait were amex. Althoug, my parents added me as an au on there amex cards the day i turned 15.

Nice, do you know what your real FICO scores are?

as a 15 year old you were already paying to see your real fico score? also at 15 years old and no line of credit that's not an AU account, why in the world would you be in a credit repair forum?

This is true -- I have found all 3 CRA's will not let you pull your credit reports if you are under 18. I added my son to my Bank of America Platinum Visa and Victoria's Secret card  when he was 12 years old. I also added my daughter to these cards when she was 16. Both cards report on her credit report. She is now 22 and has FICO scores of 750+

I was not able to pull my son's credit report using free annual credit report . com, they said he was too young (he is 15 now).

I've been lurking here since the early-mid 2000s when I was a teen, and finally joined when I was on the cusp of getting my own cards, because of all the advice here for new cards, etc. I've wanted credit cards since the age of 4 (that's when I asked my mom if I could have my own American Express card - yes, I really am that much of a credit whore), and this site provided lots of knowledge to those who were new to the credit world, such as myself.

CB has many more uses than just a credit repair forum.

+1

Many of us discovered CB as were searching for more CC deals. I had no issues with credit when I found CB through such a search... I decided to stay and help. ;)

Just added my DD (12) and DS (14) as an AU to my NFCU credit card.

They just need social and date of birth, plus NFCU reports AUs to the Credit Bureaus.

Who knows how low they will go? Someone out there with a toddler or a newborn?

Well, my sons are 15 weeks and 29 months...

I was added to my parents BofA Alaska airlines card when I was 15. Helped my TU score, but that was it (it only reported to them for some reason).

On edit* Looks like Bob has it all listed above. Wish my parents had added me to more of their cards when I was younger.

I added my gf as an AU on my Chase Forward Visa Siggy. They just asked for a name and mailed me the card. No other info was requested though they might have softed her to see if the address was a match.
