Nope. My argument in this case is that the fact that a TSA (in)operative screener having gone through a background check that might be deeper than a DumpMart checker does nothing in terms of precluding the screener from mis-using the information on identification.

 

Of course it doesn't preclude misuse. It's merely one additional safeguard, that may or may not work in every case.

Then again, showing your ID does not preclude misuse either, it's merely one additional safeguard, no?
