No easy answer to that.

Depends what your goals are.

*IF* your goal is to have constant monitoring of a "real" Equifax FICO score, the only choices are myFICO Score Watch, or Equifax Score Watch.

The downside is that those 2 are almost guaranteed to land you on the C* list.

Bob,

I am in the process of cleaning credit in order to buy a house in December. Have only 3 baddies in need to get off 2 credit reports.

So i want to monitor my progress.

Posted

If you just want to monitor progress, and don't mind getting FAKOs instead of FICOs,

most of us would recommend USAA's Credit Check Monitoring Premium.

But, that would belong in a different thread than this one devoted to myFICO discounts for getting real FICO scores.

Thank you, it worked for me :clapping:. At least now I know what I need to do to get my score up higher through their simulator :D.

Is there any way to sign up for score watch without taking the free trial? Every time I try to sign up it tells me I'm not eligable for the free trial because I have done it within the last 24 months --- but it's not giving me the option to just pay the regular monthly price

20% off Equifax FICO till 6/30, also good for TransUnion, but I wouldn't recommend buying that one

Does this apply to Score Watch?

No, just to the standard FICO scores.

I use Equifax Score Watch instead of myFICO Score Watch.

Are they the same product? What's the difference?

Posted

No, not the same product, myFICO is a little more polished, but slower to update.

Equifax Score Watch is not as slick, but is cheaper, so I use it.

Signing up for either Score Watch will probably land you on the C* list, if you're not there already.

myFICO Score Watch does offer a free trial, so you can compare the two if you're willing to pay for Equifax Score Watch.
