BEWARE!

The method outlined below will put you on Equifax's Choppage list.

I started a thread last week to point out one way to get 30% off an Equifax FICO score.

It involves signing up for the free10-day Score Watch Trial.

Just buying an Equifax FICO score in the past did not put one on the C* list.

Signing up for the free 10-day Score Watch Trial WILL result in C*

The free score obtained will be visible for 10 days.

*IF* you want access to a score and the FICO Estimator for a month, you'll have to buy a score.

WARNING!!

If after reading the above, you still want to proceed, see:

DANGER!!!

I found a 7 day trial for $14.99 for all 3 scores and a merged 3 report credit file (I only got it for the scores though, which are supposed to be from FICO). It was listed on www.credit.com but the direct link is this: www.identityiq.com

admin edit: Sorry to edit this, but if you use the link in my signature, and then select identityIQ, it will help us and our partner site, credit.com. They've gotten us some great cards and services for building credit - things we can't get on our own. :)

Hey,

Newbie here and not to be obtuse (but am, clearly  ) - ok, so I went to the link. If I get the identity IQ, I will get accurate fico scores for all three bureaus and can check them whenever I want as long as I maintain the subscription?

And I guess I need to do it twice, once for hubby, once for me, so will be about $30 a month.

I was just telling you how to get there, I've never used that service. You all will have to figure it out and give us a situation report. :D

Teehee; well I figured with a free trial period what the heck. Might as well. So I'm checking my husband's scores now and it's worse than what the broker pulled 3 weeks ago. *sniff*

But it has a lot of info from the credit report, which matches what the broker gave us. Seems pretty accurate.

If I've been a Scorewatch subscriber for about a year now, does that mean I'm probably on the C* list?

Very likely, if not certainly.

UGH I really want to get an updated score but there is NO WAY I am paying $19.95 for each of them. I miss you, Discount Codes!

You used to be able to get an EQ FICO from EQ for about 7 bucks using EQSW. Now it will cost you 12. Just sign up and cancel before they bill you again. They actually encourage this. :swoon:

On Experian website you can get your report and score for a $1. It's part of a trial for their scorewatch or something like that. But you have 7 days to cancel if you don't want to be charged teh $14.95.

I believe that's Experian's score, not FICO's.

CPPSAVINGS worked this morning on myfico for TU report & Fico...

Wow! Well, I guess 1 is better than none. :D

I wonder if it will work on EQ scorewatch. I am waiting for

a code to use so I can cancel and sign up again. Currently

paying 14.95 monthly.

Tried all the discount codes on TU. NONE worked! :aggressive:

At this point I'm about ready to try applying for the Walmart card just for the FICO.....
