Help with TU B* please. According to the counter I have 57 softs and I have 4 hards. I have started B*, I lost two this morning. But I'm looking for an anticipated date of getting my last hard off. I have one from Jan, one from Feb and two from July.

I cut and pasted in all of the softs that are older than my newest hard (plus one that is newer) Since B* is first in, first out, I'm thinking that I have to bump all of these (plus my hards where they fit into this list) to clean off my hards. Working on that assumption, if I'm b*ing 2 inqs per day (soft and hard) then I should b* my last hard by Thursday? Is that anywhere close to being correct?

Thank you!

Just to clarify, these are not ALL my softs, I have 57 softs according to the counter, these are just the oldest ones.

What are you using to get 2 inqs per day on TU?

started b* this morning with 2 pulls taking me from 70 to 72, i had 11 hards and now have 9. I am assuming that 4 extra softs somewhere counted. (70+11+4=85)

what source do we get the TU softs from? the backdoor? i use USAA, SCP and CK and cannot locate my softs. I tried the text from the TU backdoor and pasted into the box but it does not seem to know how to count them?

The Soft counter for EQ is giving me a count of 86 due to a sticky Andera:

ANDERA (1):

Seems Andera does not always count towards bumpage.

I use 3 daily pullers, CCM/USAA, Eq Complete and EIDT/MPM. Which of the below is which? (Was just C* so it's a short list) Not sure why there is no 9/23/11 in CREDITEXPERT though

How are you guys getting the correct format for the tool. I copied the info from USAA inquiry tab and it counted 0 so I know I've done something incorrectly.

USAA-CCMP doesn't show you softs, so you are grabbing the wrong info.

I use Equifax-Complete of some flavor or another - it shows me softs on EQ. I still have to use Chrome to copy-paste it though; IE adds lines that eff things up.

I used EQ-Complete list also and after some formatting via notepad - my results were Soft Inquiries: 127 (~ -5 older than oldest hard inquiry) (Possible C* Detected)

Not sure what that means but most of my inquiries are recent (within the last 3 months) and several mortgage (which I believe dont B*) - can someone interpet the message for me as Im not seeing any B* - Oldest hard was 12/04/10

Thanks!

I really wish I could view my TU backdoor. Somehow, I was able to bump an inquiry that was less than 20 days old, but it's been a few more days and I haven't yet bumped an inquiry that occurred on the same day. There shouldn't have been any soft inquiries between these two.

Credit Karma is just for the lols, no B* from there.

Although, there is claim that it helps with TU bumpage to a degree, YMMV.

Yeah, I've read that in the master B* thread, but since he mentioned having Equifax and was looking for one more puller I assumed he was worried about EQ. I shouldn't have assumed and should probably have said "no EQ B* from there". :D

Just in case someone comes across this while searching for B* on TU advice... as I've mentioned before, I've been seeing B* on TU and I have yet to sign up for Smart Credit. I've dropped 4 INQ's since July so far, not sure which puller is responsible but I suspect it to be CreditKarma. I pull EC/USAA CCMP/MPM/AMEX CS for EQ B* and I hit up CreditKarma and TrueCredit a 2-3 times a week whenever I remember to.

After I'm finished with the EQ pullers this month I plan on dropping them for a while and picking up SCP just to quicken the pace of B* on TU. Something odd that may just be a coincidence is that it SEEMS like I see TU B* whenever I add a new INQ to TU?? The first time I saw B* was back in July just a day or two after AMEX was app'd for and then again just last week when TU was hit during a background/credit check. Doesn't mean they have anything to do with it but there is a possible pattern.

On a side note... I've went nearly a month without app'ing! yahoo.gif I think adding up how much I have paid out for daily pullers over the past year has finally sunk in to my head and cause me to be more afraid of new INQ's rather than denials :D :D

I can confirm that EQUIFAX inquiries are contributing to B*. This means that pulling your backdoor report will add an additional soft that contributes to B*, even if you are doing this in addition to Equifax Complete.

It's not counting your CREDITEXPERT inquiries for some reason. You have 23 of those, but 3 of them (07/29/11, 06/29/11, 05/28/11) are older than your oldest hard, so they won't help you at all (but you know you're getting close when you bump them off). You also have at least 5 Equifax inquiries that are helping you. Your total, then, is about 44, which means you're about 41 daily pulls away (or 21 twice-daily pulls, 14 three-times-daily pulls, or 9 four-times-daily pulls). Unless you somehow avoid getting chopped this month, you're going to lose most of those softs in about one to two weeks.

Does not count multiple entries for "TRUECREDIT/VERTRUE" on the same day as in:

I'm a Newbie here and GREATLY appreciate all the suggestions I've received from this forum. I've gone from 22 to 7 hards on EQ in the last few weeks (just got C* on 10/16). I currently subscribed to Credit Karma, USAA, MPM and Equifax Complete.

I would like to switch my focus over to my TU report. What services are you guys using for TU B*? I didn't think TrueCredit allowed daily pulls anymore...am I wrong?

Also, which report are you using from TU in the counter?

Thanks, in advance, for any assistance you can provide! You guys are great :o)

How many hards do you have? What is the date of the oldest? Your siggy sez 2 on 10/11? And you're not apping?

I'm no expert (like the Bump Influencers) but I don't see that you're getting C* on EQ. Which is surprising in a good way. But be prepared, it will probably happen.

I took the time to write two web apps to automatically count soft inquiries that actually count towards B*. There is one page for EQ, and one page for TU. The EQ page takes into account some of the oddities with EQ (echo inquiries that don't count, etc). All you have to do is paste the text of the soft inquiries on your report and click a button. It does the counting for you.

EQ Soft Count

TU Soft Count

Note: I purposely did not include a lot of direct information on the pages themselves as to WHY people would want to count these inquiries.

If you have problems or ideas, email me at the address listed on the page, or PM me here.

I hope you find them useful!

Hi

I tried pasting the softs but nothing came up. Can someone give me an example of the proper

way to paste softs because I'm doing something wrong and not getting any results.

Thanks
