It is one of these "pay to play" type of businesses. You purchase certain products or services from them and they would report a trade line to either DNB or Experian. There are a number of these outfits out there, they don't usually last very long, they mostly come and go. However, it would be unfair of me to speak about this particular business because I have no experience with them.

That's what I thought, Same as "Strategic Network Solutions" you buy something and they are suppose to report to DNB and equifax.

Yes they are reporting. They reported to DNB for me pretty quick too.

 

Initially I went for Rapid Forms. Then somehow I ended up getting my package from Deluxe. So I just started working with Deluxe. Turns out Nebs and Rapid Forms are owned by Deluxe. Still report though.

Yes they are reporting. They reported to DNB for me pretty quick too.

 

Initially I went for Rapid Forms. Then somehow I ended up getting my package from Deluxe. So I just started working with Deluxe. Turns out Nebs and Rapid Forms are owned by Deluxe. Still report though.

Thanks for the great info here. I have a couple of questions and would appreciate any opinions. I changed from a sole prop to llc in Feb. 2013. I searched eq ex and dnb and my company is listed in eq database but has 0 trades. I am home based business, and have a po box. Planning to get a UPS store box this week for business purposes. Should I wait to apply for any credit until I get the new business address and use it for everything? Do I need to wait until I submit a change of address to the sec. of state before I apply for a duns number? I have several business credit cards I've been using before now, and never tried to use just business credit before reading this forum since I had no idea how to start. Thanks!

Your better off starting your own thread just to get more eyes on it.... But DON'T use a UPS store box as it will only create issues for you with the building process. Just use your home address you will be a lot better off that way.

Strategic Network Solutions initially was reporting to both DNB & Equifax. I have been told by a client of ours that they are not longer reporting to DNB and the trade reference that was only a few months old has been removed from his report. They did not have the credit builder, they had purchased items directly from SNS. That is exactly why, as far as credit building is concerned, it is very difficult to rely on companies that claim to report large trade lines simply for making what amounts to small bogus purchases of useless merchandise.

Strategic Network Solutions initially was reporting to both DNB & Equifax. I have been told by a client of ours that they are not longer reporting to DNB and the trade reference that was only a few months old has been removed from his report. That is exactly why, as far as credit building is concerned, it is very difficult to rely on companies that claim to report large trade lines simply for making what amounts to small bogus purchases of useless merchandise.

Yes exactly if DNB catches on a company is simply selling credit or reporting false trades they will flag and block that company and remove trades from others who have used them.

 

As we all know DNB reps lurk here and see companies we speak of and often look into them.

Just wanted to say hello and THANK YOU! I am not new to the boards, but newish to the business credit side. We owned a company years ago and learned the hard way not to PG anything as we did have to BK the company and thus our personal files bc of a big PG. That has been about 11 years ago now, though.

I now own a travel agency and have been building the credit for about 6 months now. I've been in business for over 3 years, but just got an LLC this past September. Anyway, here's where I stand currently:

 

DnB- did free profile - it started bc one of my vendors pays for all of my marketing supplies through them yet somehow it still reports as me. Only a $50 TL, though. Once I saw that on there, I applied for a WrightExpress card (initially approved for $750 and now is $1500 CL- just called and asked about 3-4 months after starting it). That is reporting at $1000. I also have Quill- not sure of the TL, but we've ordered as much as $300 at a time with no problem. It reports now as $250. I also have another $50 TL reporting, but not sure who it is- lol. Just ordered Uline and I think it was approved as I got an email showing it was being shipped. Order amount was $80, so we will see how/when that reports. For us, as we travel a lot (& my hubby uses it to manage his work travel), we want the fleet cards. I am now surprised I got Wex so quickly, but happy we did as it helps us manage that since we are reimbursed for fuel every 30 days and it falls perfectly with their billing. I just applied for Fuelman (FleetCor), Wawa and Jiffy Lube so I will update those.

 

Oh, tried OD but was told to call and then told I had to PG, which isn't going to happen so oh well. An office supply company is another biggie we need, other than Quill. So, any suggestions there would be great:)

 

For Grainger and Reliable, I can't really find anything I need through them. I will go online to see if I can find something, though.

 

Really just saying Hi and Thank you, but any suggestions as to build more are welcome.

Great Comment! As far as your other office supply company is concerned, Reliable Office Supplies is probably the option you are looking for. They are very flexible, report right away, and have decent prices. Although you may not need Grainger, just go ahead and apply, they are known for issuing a trade line and immediately reporting it to DNB without you having to actually purchase anything. It is worth the shot!
