I never knew I had a record in Chex until I was recently denied by Citi for a checking account. USAA approved me for both checking and savings just a couple of months ago.

I received my report, and sure enough, there was a record from BOA for account abuse, $246 CO amount.

I have an old, but within SOL, CO with BOA for a CC that carries a big delinquent balance. I'm working on another card now, and this CC is next on the list.

Will dispute this Chex item trigger any action on the CC debt?

Thanks!

any disputing or credit repair while you have CO's within the SOL isn't wise

Many thanks on the response! I'm fully aware of initiating my repair while all my debts are within SOL. I've reached financial stability for a couple of years now, and have prepared a relatively large amount of emergency funds should this process go sour at some point. Thanks to this board, I've managed to delete 16 CA baddies across 3 CRAs and settled an AMEX account. I'm now left with two unpaid COs from AMEX and BOA.

Does anyone have experience disputing chex item from BOA while having a delinquent CC balance?

Thank you so much!

Bump

It is very difficult to be removed from chexsystems especially when the reporting bank is BOA.

Chexsystems/Telecheck allows the vague "FRAUD" "NSF" and "ABUSE" flags because they are harder to dispute and remove. There are no clear standards for what is considered NSF, Fraud or ABUSE.

Fraud can mean anything that a bank wants it to. Seem unfair? Of Course it is.

What proof do they have to flag an account FRAUD, NSF or ABUSE?) They can not prove intent to fraud or abuse of the bank. Most people dispute based on these vague indicators.

BOA also reports to EWS
