I get this when I try to view something on foxnews.com only in Firefox. I can got there using Opera or IE, but not FF. Anyone tell me why? It's annoying changing browsers just to read some link someone's posted.

Did you try to delete cache and cookies from FF?

If you don't want to get logged out of all your sites, you can search for cookies containing the string "fox" and remove the ones returned.

it something to do with which file firefox is trying to access - it's misreading a link.

you're requesting a file in a directory, the server decides which one takes priority, and then displays that file - since it's the wrong one, it then tells you that you don't have access to that one.

I cleared the cache - didn't help. closed the browser - didn't help, restarted the machine - didn't help. I'm typing in http://www.foxnews.com - get the error. Type the exact same thing into Opera or IE and it goes to the FNC site. I google fox news and click the link it serves up.

I agree - I think FF asking for the wrong thing. I'll look for fox cookies and see - but I don't think they'd deliberately block anyone. It's a darned news site, not freeper.com or DU.
