Total count after chop is 20?

I have unfortunately taken JDS's work for granted. I'm working on a standalone counting tool, but need to get up to speed on the counting rules.

Why is "UMB" not counted? It's not prefixed and isn't an "Equifax".

Oops, UMB probably DOES count.

In fact, for SOME people it looked like many of the "EQUIFAX" softs count as well.

I think jds started including those, and that led to some erroneous high counts for people.

We had kind of agreed on an ad hoc rule of ONLY including those non-prefixed softs on reports with 85 total.

So, the counter missed some, but over-counted "EQUIFAX" at times.

I guess I'll have to re-read and learn how to count. :blush2:

Gotcha. That makes sense as I maintain a cool 85 (no choppage) year round if I include the non-prefixed equifax softs.

So basically if the total B* soft count (minus the questionable EQ counts) plus the questionable EQ counts is equal to 85, count em. And if the total is less than 85 or greater, don't include them.

Is that generally correct?

Yup, if that can be implemented as an IF THEN OR filter.

Cool, that's how I've implemented it...appears to work with some of the sample material from this thread. Dumb question, but why do most posts NOT include the hards?

The hards are in the "queue" of 85 right?

Yeah, the hard softs are "no brainers", except for figuring out which ones are "sticky" :P

Alright Bob, hoping to have something very beta released today. Just so I'm 100% clear, "CIC/EXPERIAN ALRTS" and "CIC/EXPERIAN RPTS" don't count, correct?

Those absolutely count for Equifax if they're not prefixed.

Here's my first attempt at it: http://208.115.246.4...bizloca/credit/

This may be (probably is) inaccurate at this point, so don't depend on it for anything important.

To do:

Make sure it's accurate as possible

Figure out which EQ pulls actually count, and when

Detect possible C* like old counter

Compensate for people using incorrect formatting

I included a "debug" button that will show which softs it's not counting towards the total. Check it out and let me know if you see any obvious errors. Once this is working well, I'll release the source code so anyone can host it wherever.

Only accepts the following format:

PULLER NAME<TAB CHARACTER><DATES>

Here's what I've been using to test it:

Pre-chop:

http://208.115.246.4...it/pre_chop.txt

Post-chop:

http://208.115.246.4...t/post_chop.txt

Edit: Make sure your browser supports pasting tab characters into text areas, and copies from EQ complete/EQ backdoor with tabs instead of spaces, or you'll get inaccurate counts. Will fix this when I have time. I've only tested this on Safari 5.1 OS X. This has no error checking yet.

It's good, thanks spigot!

Only thing I found is it counted one of my PRM. Here it is if it helps.

Thanks Repairerer, that should be fixed now.. was only looking for "PRM-" so it didn't catch that. My score's still in the tank, so no PRM stuff for me to test it out with. :)

Current prefixes it's looking for:

PRM-

PRM ONL-

AR-

ND-

Rad, it's fixed. I don't get that many offers, so more people should test with their data. :D

Do I sense a possible addition to Team BI?

I've already asked mom. ;)

When it's out of beta, maybe we can ask her to stick a thread instead of the old one. Folks are like :cry2: in there.

Yes, this definitely deserves a "sticky" :D

Haha, thanks guys. :) Cleaning up a few things, and I'll move it over to a production server and start a new topic. Also noticed EQ lists all prefixes under the softs list. Updated the code to add those as well. Tested the copy and paste on Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and IE (both Mac and Windows) and everything looks like it pastes fine. The forum likes to convert tabs to spaces, so copying softs from a post won't work unless you want to do a little reformatting.

Looks like it will work pasted from a forum post if the poster used the code tags.

P.S. Removing extra carriage returns enhances readability

Thanks for the count Bob....I actually added the extra return so I will leave off next time.

I have had success with B* on TU but nothing on EQ yet....when will I hit 85 so that I start getting B* on EQ?

Posted

BTW, this is a great example of a single daily puller flying under the C* radar.

Is this in regards to my post?

I was wondering that myself if I was getting C* or not.

I have been using USAA, TrueCredit, SmartCredit, creditkarma and just started EQ complete pro.

Am I still safe to go like this or should i scale back on anything? Should I add a MPM variant to the mix too?
