Sounds like only Walmart card holders has the FREE FICO score. Chime in if found elsewhere on GEMB accounts.

Wife's Ashley Furniture (access through main GEMB site) account doesn't have it. :(

Also checked Lowes (access through Lowes site) out of curiosity and that's a no-go too.

Mine is higher too, by one point.

Another Great Find!

This becomes a reason to keep my Walmart store card open..

I was surprised to see my TU Fico about 40 points higher than my Credit Karma Fako.

I work really close to ours, if I go a single day without going in I am surprised.

I wonder if this will motivate some high(er) rollers to get a Walmart card just for the FICO.

It has me thinking about it  Only problem is I was going to Sears today and apply for their card (And I think I've been in a Walmart only once in my life)

You should try to lower it to three days per week. Your quality of life will skyrocket.

Even better at 1 or less.

Thanks WalMart, I've been looking for this for a long time now! Finally, a company that gives a worthy incentive to sign up for paperless statements. :yahoo:

Thanks. I was resisting using paperless statements for this card since it's not one I check online often, but for this I will go for it.

I had to unfreeze my report but I got it...775! That's higher than I was expecting, since all my TU fakos are around 730 (worthless, I know).

I guess I'm going to Wal Mart today. :D This is awesome, and it's probably the FICO 2004 score, rather than that crap '98 version on myfico. Thanks OP!

I don't have electronic statement. I couldn't see mine.

Ron.

I wasn't enrolled either, but I enrolled this morning. You can do it right there on the My Account page. Where it shows the actual bill, balance, ect. there is a button that says "enroll in electronic statements." Hit that, then enroll, before you finish it will say "enroll for free Fico."

ETA: As soon as I enrolled, it showed me the score.

Too bad its way off from my actual FICO. This score was 696, actual was 664. Not sure how they are calculating it, because its not even close to MPM or my other monitoring services.

I'm in myfico quarterly monitoring and am due for an update in a couple of days. My score on Walmart is 661 (up 19 points from the myfico score 3 months ago). If this matches what I receive from myfico in a couple of days, it will verify the accuracy of it and allow me to cancel the myfico subscription.

Keep in mind that Walmart is probably providing TransUnion FICO 2004.

myFICO provides the outdated TransUnion FICO 1998.

I'm quite sure Walmart is using the updated 2004 algorithm and not the old 1998 scoring.

So, I would put more weight on the Walmart TU04 FICO, and ignore the myFICO TU98 score.

Wow!Thanks to the OP for this find.

As several people have pointed out, the FICO is about 30 pts higher than CreditKarma. That means that there is a very close correlation between the two, so I think I'll keep one or the other.

I think the CreditKarma score is TU internal scoring, while the Walmart score is FICOs actual score from TU, not sure though, I could be wrong, either way.

Now, can anybody find a free service that allows us to actually see the full report, as part of the service?

FICO 781

You have no recent installment loan activity.

..........I thought there wasn't much to installments besides just having one for credit mix

You have not established a long revolving credit history.

..........I NEED MORE AMEX!

PS. can someone tell me what the get from this link:

Check your credit report for errors and review your loan information. ..............because I'm getting errors from that page loading.

Just curious, how are you sure? I would love to dump quarterly monitoring also and I will if I find out for sure that this score is in fact TU04!

I see the offer, but what if my FICO is lower than it was when I got my last increase from WM? This has been hands-down the worst year of my life - divorce, deaths in the family, lost my job through no fault of my own (for real). I'm staying current on my bills, but just barely. I hit the luv button a few weeks ago for my Firestone account and got a CL decrease. :cry2:

Any unintended consequences that anyone can think of before I hit the button?

.

In other words, is it possible GEMB will use my score against me (assuming it's gone down) on all my GEMB accounts?
