In my research I have been unable to find reliable numbers on what scores it takes to get credit from individual creditors. I found a couple of yahoo groups dedicated to the subject, but they seemed over run with info and not a lot of data validation.

So I decided to start a site to keep track of credit approvals and what scores it took to get them. I posted the site at:

http://www.whostolemydatabase.com

I started the site with data I got from the yahoo database "creditpulls" (with permission from the owner), so there is some historical data on the site to get people started. If you like the site enter in what info you have on you past credit approvals including FICO scores only please, FAKO's are just to variable. All info is entered anonymously and so you will not be solicited or sold to anyone. Tell me what you think, I will update the site as needed in the future.

Thanks,

The approvals listed in the database are subject to more information than is listed on this site and so it can not be used as a definitive example of credit approval.

great start - some options that would be great would be to sort by score, creditor, approval and limit once you are within your state - also since the list is so long i think there should be some breaks with the title bar (approved/equifax/creditor) instead of just having it at the top - just my opinions - otherwise so far so good much easier to search than yahoo.

Very very cool. When I originally read the post, I read only the beginning. I then ran to get some food as I was prepared for the blasting to start...Lo and behold,:cry2: it looks GREAT, AND you got permission to boot.

Excellent site!!!!!!!!! Those in credit repair need something especially suited to all things related to credit score and obtaining cards. You could add a page that would calculate utilization and maybe even expand on the information obtained for databasing purposes.

Example.

Card: Citi

Fico Score: 700

Pulled: TU

Approved: Yes

Any CO's on that report: Yes

When: July, 1999

Oldest TL: 10 years

I think by having more info on the credit pulls we could get a more realistic picture of what you need to get approved.

and since marcelluss brought up the utilization things what better excel spread to use to show utilization and tradeline info than from out resident excel expert, marcelluss. i am sure marcelluss is more than willing to share the average age/utilization spread he has already created.

And tell me this, how hard was it for you to transfer that data from the creditpulls database. I had to scrap some of the data due to some people actually put commas in the comments field. Took me 3 hours just to transfer the data alone.

The people on creditboards.com are without a doubt some of the best people you will find on a public forum. I would gladly donate time and energy because of all the help this place has provided.

We have over 14,000 members and the majority of them learn, practice, and then help others with their own unique experiences. We have techies, private business owners, loan officers, insurance, farmers, live at home parents, sales, consultants, probably almost every field covered. We are more connected than USC alumni!!!!!

I think the creditboard community can collaborate and make some great tools that compliment CB and best of all; they are free!

What I'm working on:

A budget spreadsheet for all expenses that will include the utilization, oldest TL, average age of accounts, and somewhere to keep track of scores. I'm thinking about adding all of the address and phone numbers of every bank and a link to the website from the spreadsheet. I'm also going to test this and launch it on Excel and Open Office so everybody can have access to it.

I can't say it enough: everybody here is awesome. I'll offer any advice I can on any subject I deal with a lot: computers, wireless networks, online pricing, web links, Tivo, MS Office, English and professional writing, Sony PS2, mp3's, Southern California, No Limit Texas Holdem, and of course credit repair and money matters. Email me: marcelluss at gmail dot com. I WILL NOT PROVIDE CREDIT HELP OVER EMAIL.

Mrhope, thank you for that comment.

Q, I'm pretty sure a VBA macro could solve that problem.

As of this second I know nothing of a VBA macro, but now that I decided to turn on my brain, I might have an idea. I only tossed out about 30 entries total though. Some were actually just Yahoo DB hiccups from the export. My script probally could have used some work too. Hopefully when the smoke clears around here I can contribute some ideas to the OP.

Another helpful field would be what (if any) baddies you still may have had on your reports along with the score. Because some lenders look at more than JUST the score. And it can be misleading as well as a waste of an inquiry without this information.

WOW...Nice site. I have been remiss in posting my approvals to creditpulls, but I will be entering info for your site, as soon as I get the chance.:angry::o

Up by Canada, to the left.

I was visualizing it and thinking of that old song and movie "North to Alaska." Of course, none of you remember it. Most of you didn't exist when it came out. I caught it on Turner Movie Classics. :clapping:

Look me up, yes my name is Ryan im from the Seattle area, I have an email from Marv from creditpulls saying basically do what you want with the data, I took that as permission. If someone is not ok with that I can drop the site no biggie. It is up to help people but if I am stepping on someone’s toes... Thanks for the overwhelming response and I am looking into the long list of good ideas for changes to the site.

Thanks,

Ryan
